Kustom Krates is owned by Mark Natinsky and is located just outside of Austin, Texas. We provide Canine crates and equipment boxes to the Police K9 world and many Dog Sport enthusiasts.

Our company was started in 1999 because of our need to outfit our Dog Van with a custom four dog crate set up. It was then we discovered that not all aluminum crates are alike! We looked long and hard and could not find the quality of product in a custom build that we were looking for. Mostly what we saw were crates made out of thin metal with cheap components. I am a perfectionist, and what I saw was nothing compared to what I wanted.
Being a fabricator and welder, I chose to design and build my own set up. Almost immediately other dog people saw my crates and began asking if I could build them a set. Before long I was building crates "part time" in addition to my full time sales job. Soon enough, part time could not keep up with business and I now have the dream job that people always talk about, doing what I love.

The rest is history.

Mark Natinsky

I have been involved in Dog Sports for nearly 30 years. Competing in Schutzhund since the early eighties. I've trained numerous German Shepherds, a Rottweiler, and am currently competing with my Belgian Malinois, Eddie. Eddie and I recently won the 2008 Malinois I.P.O. Nationals in Olympia Washington. I won the North American FH championship in Bangor Maine back in 1998, and came in second in the Rottweiler I.F.R. World Championships in 1997. Dogs are my passion along side my fascination with engineering products that exceed peoples expectations.

I have a B.A. in Business Administration and oversee the Advertising, Accounting and Purchasing Dept's of Kustom Krates. After a successful career in grocery management, I now enjoy owning our own business and raising our daughter Eva, who is now eleven. My new career allows me to be very active at her school, in fundraising, and support. Working in our business has given me the blessing of putting the raising of our child as a priority.
